Today, the sixth meeting of authorized representatives of the Caspian States to discuss the draft Protocol on cooperation in the field of Maritime safety in the Caspian Sea began its work in Ashgabat, the website of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
The meeting is attended by experts from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan, employees of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Caspian Sea Institute, and the "Turkmendenizderyayollary" Agency of the Ministry of industry and communications of Turkmenistan.
The agenda includes discussion of the draft Protocol and approval of the parties ' proposals. This project, designed for cooperation in the field of Maritime safety in the Caspian Sea, has special priorities in the comprehensive development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Caspian States on a long-term basis.
The meeting will continue until January 29.
