1. On May 6, on the eve of the Victory Day, the Chamber Ensemble Department of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva invites Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital to the concert “Songs of the War Years”. Famous vocalists and instrumentalists of the capital take part in the concert program. The concert will be held in the Great Hall of the Conservatory at 18:00. Free admission.
2. The most beautiful Ahal-Teke horse in 2023 was recognized as a horse named Goshasakar. This was determined by the results of the International Ahal-Teke Horse Beauty Contest, held in the equestrian complex of the military and law enforcement agencies of Turkmenistan. On behalf of the head of state, seyis Atchapar Badjamov, who brought up the winner of the international competition, was presented with the keys to the Toyota Fortuner SR 5 SUV, as well as a Challenge Cup and a diploma.
3. The Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan has extended the deadline for submitting documents for selection for training at the Higher Theater School named after Mikhail Semyonovich Shchepkin at the Maly Theater of Russia. The acceptance of documents for training in the specialty “Acting” has been extended until May 10, 2023. The selection is carried out in Ashgabat by the selection committee of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture.
4. Participants of the international motor rally “Caravan of Friendship” visited Turkmenistan. The convoy passed through the Farap road checkpoint, from where it headed towards Ashgabat. The group consists of 80 people. Among them are road specialists and creative people. As part of their stay in the country, the participants of the rally visited the sights of the Turkmen capital, as well as the Parthian fortresses of Nisa.
5. Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid a visit to Germany, during which he visited the Horse Breeding Complex, where he got acquainted with the peculiarities of keeping horses and shared national methods of breeding and training world famous Ahal-Teke horses. At the same time, attention was paid to the tasks of improving the activities of the International Association of Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding and the horse breeding industry as a whole.

6. The first Turkish astronaut to go to the ISS will be Alper Gezeravci, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced this during the TEKNOFEST technology forum in Istanbul. Gezeravci is a Turkish Air Force pilot with extensive experience. It is assumed that his flight into space will be this year. Tuva Dzhihangir, an engineer in the field of launch vehicle development at Roketsan, has been appointed as Gezeravdzhi's understudy. The launch of Türkiye’s national space program was announced in 2021. Within its framework, it is planned to train the first astronauts in the history of Türkiye and launch its own rocket to the moon.
7. In the museum of one of the cities of Great Britain, in the county of Worcestershire, children who came with an excursion painted one of the statues with colored crayons. Museum staff were able to clean the painted nose, forehead, eyes and cheeks of the statue without using any chemicals. According to the representative of the National Trust - an organization for the preservation of the cultural, historical and natural heritage of Britain, such cases are the exception rather than the rule. Museum visitors generally treat the exhibits with respect and do not engage in vandalism.
8. On April 29, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, the city of Bishkek, celebrated its 145th anniversary. In honor of the holiday, the city authorities organized numerous cultural events, flash mobs and festivals, exhibitions, sports competitions and festivities, and in the evening there was fireworks display on the central “Ala-Too” square.

9. Turkmen judoist Mammadali Achyldiyev won a silver medal at the “Open Tournament of Kuwait”. In the final in the weight category up to 90 kg, Achyldiyev lost to Anarbek Ishenbayev from Kyrgyzstan. Earlier, Maysa Pardayeva won bronze in the weight category up to 57 kg at competitions in Kuwait. The tournament in Kuwait was held on April 28-29. The team of Turkmenistan was represented by 14 judokas.
10. “Arkadag” beat “Shagadam” in the match of the 4th round of the championship of Turkmenistan. The meeting ended with the score 4:0. Didar Durdyev scored a double among the winners, Mikhail Titov and Ihlas Toyjanov scored another goal each. Thanks to this victory, “Arkadag” with 9 points in the asset rose to the first line of the standings of the championship of Turkmenistan.
