1. The volume of non-cash payments in Turkmenistan for January-November 2024 exceeded 18.3 billion manat, which is 17% more than the same period in 2023. The growth of non-cash payments was facilitated by the introduction of modern digital services, including mobile and Internet banking.Among the new services is the Menzilara-bank remote banking system, which as of December 1, 2024 was used by more than 24.1 thousand clients for transactions with international payment cards. The international payment systems VISA and MasterCard are also actively developing in the country, contactless payment technologies and new mobile applications for financial transactions are being introduced.
2. A modern water treatment plant has been put into operation in Mary velayat of Turkmenistan, capable of producing up to 25 thousand cubic meters of drinking water daily. The facility was built by the economic society “Baku çynar” on the territory of the gengeshlik named after Seyitnazar Seidi of the Turkmenkalinsky etrap.
3. The Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan Vyacheslav Beskosty is completing his diplomatic mission in the country. On this occasion, he met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Gurbanov at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The parties confirmed the high level of traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus.
5. The Embassy of India in Turkmenistan organized the Indian Film Festival 2024 in the city of Turkmenbashi in honor of the centenary anniversary of the legendary actor and director Raj Kapoor. 10. Gulalek Kakamuradova brought another gold to the team of Turkmenistan, becoming the winner of the Asian Junior Championships in the weight category up to 64 kg. The Turkmen athlete lifted 92 kg in the snatch, 110 kg in the clean and jerk and gained a total of 202 kg.
11. Turkmen figure skaters won two silver and one bronze medals at the international tournament Global Skating Academy Trophy in Tashkent. More than 220 athletes from different countries took part in the competition. Within the framework of the Turkmen team, Ainur Berdieva and Rahman Hojamkuliev won silver medals. Hanna Sakhedova won the bronze medal.
