Turkmen athlete Suleyman Hudayberdyev won gold and silver medals at the international tennis tournament among athletes under 14 years old in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).
The competition was attended by 36 athletes from 13 countries. In the doubles tournament, the Turkmen tennis player, performing together with Pakistani Muhammad Hassan Usmani, won the gold medal. In the individual competition, Hudayberdyev added a silver medal to his collection.
At the award ceremony, Suleyman Hudayberdyev was presented with medals by Rafael Nadal, one of the greatest tennis players of our time. The Spaniard has 22 victories in Grand Slam tournaments, two Olympic golds and five victories with the Spanish team in the Davis Cup.
For the young athlete from Turkmenistan, receiving awards from such a legend of world tennis was a particularly memorable moment.
