According to the results of 11 months of this year, the volume of cargo transportation along the China-Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran (CKTI) route has grown by 31% compared to the same period last year.
This is the conclusion reached by participants in an expert meeting in Beijing devoted to the development of the CKTI.
As nCa reports with reference to the Kazakhstani transport and logistics company KTZ Express, the meeting summed up the results of the route’s operation for 2024 and discussed the prospects for its further development.
The increased freight volumes along the CKTI route confirm the growing interest of market participants in this direction and demonstrate the effectiveness of the measures implemented to improve the logistics service. Among the advantages of CKTI are reduced delivery times compared to sea routes, reliable infrastructure and direct connections to the most important markets in Asia and the Middle East.
During the discussion, special attention was paid to key aspects of the route development: increasing the speed of cargo delivery, optimizing customs procedures and introducing modern digital technologies aimed at simplifying logistics processes.
The route continues to develop as one of the key corridors in international trade, the source notes.
