In January, a number of cultural and social events are planned in Turkmenistan to mark the New Year, Defenders of the Fatherland Day, and the declaration of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” in accordance with the UN General Assembly Resolution adopted at the initiative of Turkmenistan.

This was reported at a government meeting by Deputy Prime Minister M. Mammedova.

As reported, conferences, briefings, exhibitions, creative meetings, and song and music celebrations are planned for the coming month in the velayats, the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag.

The main events include festive celebrations, New Year’s theatrical performances, and sports competitions “Türkmenistan – ruhubelentligiň we sagdynlygyň ýurdy” in higher educational institutions of the country.

On the occasion of the Defender of the Fatherland Day, a ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the brave warrior Berdimuhamed Annayev, installed in the 1st specialized military school, will be held.

Having heard the report, the head of Turkmenistan noted the importance of proper preparation for holding the planned events during the first month of next year. In this regard, it was instructed to ensure a high organizational level of the festive celebrations, TDH reports.
