Stuppach Castle, which has historical value for classical music lovers, has been put up for sale in Austria. According to experts, it was in this castle that composers Josef Eibler and Franz Xaver Süssmayer completed Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's famous funeral mass “Requiem” after his death in 1791, reports the New York Post.

The four-story building was built in 1130. The castle covers an area of approximately 2490 square meters and has 50 rooms, including a cinema and library, a chapel and a dungeon.

The castle was partially rebuilt in the 15th and 17th centuries. Over its long history, it has hosted such famous guests as Napoleon Bonaparte, Princess Isabella of Bourbon-Parma and Emperor Franz Stephen of Lorraine.

The estate is valued at 13,127 million USD.

The previous owners of the castle turned it into an entertainment center, where musical performances and lectures were held.
