A powerful snowstorm has broken out in Turkey, covering the central, eastern and southern regions of the country. The current meteorological situation has paralyzed the work of more than 30 provinces, MIR 24 reports.
Local authorities have declared “yellow” and “orange” weather hazard levels in 13 provinces. Additionally, educational and government institutions have been completely suspended in 32 provinces. In the mountainous areas of the country, the snow cover reaches an impressive 50 centimeters. Forecasters predict that intense snowfalls will continue for at least the next three days.
