As we previously reported, the IV International Festival “Theatrical Art of the Age of Happiness” starts tomorrow in Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag. Within the framework of the festival, the performance of the Turkish Shadow Theater “Garagez and Hacivat” will be shown.
The performance will be at the Turkmen State Puppet Theater on November 15 at 17:00, according to the website of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
Garagez and Hacivat are the main characters of the traditional Turkish shadow play popularized during the Ottoman period and later spread to most of the nation states of the Ottoman Empire.
