The relay of the “Korkut Ata” film festival passed to the city of Anau in Turkmenistan

The relay of the “Korkut Ata” film festival has officially passed to the Turkmen city of Anau. A symbol of this was the transfer of the “Crane” figurine to the Turkmen film director, representative of the “Turkmenfilm” association named after Oguzhan Sahysalyh Bayramov.

The ceremony of handing over the statuette took place within the framework of the closing day of the III Film Festival of the Turkic World “Korkut Ata” in Baku. It was presented to the representative of Turkmenistan by the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli.

The baton of the festival passes to Turkmenistan along with the title of the cultural capital of the Turkic world, which the city of Anau will become in 2024.

“Korkut Ata” is an annual international film festival, which is held in different cities of Turkic countries. The festival was founded in 2021 and aims to promote the development of cinema in the Turkic world, as well as strengthening cultural ties between Turkic peoples.

Earlier, Turkmenportal reported that Ahmet Amandurdyev received the “Korkut Ata” festival award in the Best Actor nomination for his main role in the melodrama “Red Apple”.
