Turkmenistan
1. The delegation of Turkmenistan, headed by Ambassador Batyr Rejepov, took part in the high-level meeting “European Union - Central Asia” on political and security issues, held in Astana. During the meeting, the parties expressed the positions of their countries on topical issues of regional and global stability, in particular, they exchanged views on common security challenges, including the situation in Afghanistan, which require security through an effective combination of efforts of states at the national, regional and international levels. At the end of the meeting, the parties also discussed a number of issues related to the preparations for the ministerial meeting “European Union - Central Asia”, scheduled to be held this autumn.
2. A new complex of buildings for the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi will be built in Turkmenabat. The corresponding Resolution was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The document authorizes the Ministry of Education to conclude a contract with the economic company “Nahal” for the design of a complex of buildings for 5000 places.

6. T'way Air launched the first regular flight from Seoul to Bishkek. The new passenger route should contribute to the development of relations between Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea. Direct flights between countries will open the door to new opportunities in the economy and the exchange of goods and services. Flights will be carried out once a week. Departures from Seoul are on Sundays, and from Bishkek on Mondays. There are plans to expand this direction to three flights a week.
7. Several Russian restaurant chains are planning to open establishments in the CIS countries. Among them are “Chocolate Girl”, “Meat and Fish”, “Yakitoria” and others. The first restaurants are planned in the capitals of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in 2023–2024.

8. The national football team of Turkmenistan in the second round of the group stage of the CAFA Nations Cup-2023 championship in Tashkent lost with a score of 0:2 to one of the main favorites of the tournament - the national team of Uzbekistan. Despite the defeat, the wards of Mergen Orazov retained the chances of leaving the group from the second place, which gives them the right to participate in the match for the bronze medals of the tournament.
9. “Altyn asyr” beat “Merv” with a score of 1:0 in the final round of the Cup of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan-2023. Thanks to this victory, the wards of Yazguly Hojageldyev scored 15 points and won the gold medals of the tournament. “Merv” and “Shagadam” took the second and third places in the FFT Cup.
10. The team of Turkmen chess players from the world championship in Batumi returned to Ashgabat with a bronze medal. For six days, about 500 participants from 35 countries fought for medals in the age categories from 8 to 18 in rapid and blitz. Turkmenistan was represented at the world championship by 12 best chess players of the country.
11. Turkmen sambists won 26 medals at the Asian and Oceania Championship held in Astana. About 500 athletes from 22 countries took part in the competition. Turkmen athletes excelled both in the combat version of sambo and in the sports version among young men (not older than 18), men and women, having won a total of 3 gold, 7 silver and 16 bronze medals.
12. Athlete from Turkmenistan Alp Arslan Begenjov won the bronze medal of the Asian Championship in freestyle wrestling among cadets under 17 at the competitions held in Bishkek. In the fight for the third place in the weight category up to 71 kg, the Turkmen athlete defeated the wrestler from Mongolia Bilguundalai Purevdagva with a score of 10:0. Dovletgeldy Muradov won the second bronze medal for the national team of Turkmenistan at the Asian freestyle wrestling championship among cadets under 17 in Bishkek. In the fight for the bronze medal in the weight category up to 80 kg, the Turkmen wrestler defeated Nurassyla Yerassyl (Kazakhstan) - 5:0. The Asian Wrestling Championship among youth and cadets will end on June 18.
