Students of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture successfully performed at the International Festival of Student Theaters of the Turkic World, which was held in Tashkent for the first time.

They brought with them the play Oguz rowaýaty based on the work of the writer Juma Hudayguliyev Şöhleli hatyn.

According to the publication "Turkmenistan: the golden age", this production is the thesis work of Tanryberdy Ataev, a student at the Faculty of Theater Arts and Directing.

The plot is based on the conflict of fathers and children, which led to dramatic events.

According to the results of participation in the festival, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Theater Arts Ibragim Durdyev was awarded in the nomination "Best Male Supporting Role" for a successfully embodied image.

Ibrahim Durdyev says:

- We are very glad that we took part in the international theater project. For us, as for beginning artists, this is the first experience of performing on a foreign stage. We watched the performances of our peers from other countries with great interest. We really wanted our work to be recognized by the jury. And so it happened.

Also, within the framework of the festival, Turkmen students took part in an educational workshop, and these are acting trainings, discussions and presentations of teaching aids in acting and directing.

The rectors of creative universities also discussed the educational process and mutual exchange programs.

As the Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Raev noted, among the main goals of the festival are support, motivation and creation of opportunities for future figures of theatrical art. In the future, it is planned to hold this festival on an annual basis.

The International Festival of Student Theaters of the Turkic World was held with the assistance of the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The forum brought together students of creative universities from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan on one platform.
