1. Veterans of the Great Patriotic War in honor of the 78th anniversary of the Victory will receive cash payments in the amount of 200 manats and valuable gifts in Turkmenistan. The corresponding Decree was signed on May 3 by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The document instructs the hyakimliks of velayats, cities and etraps to present gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan in a solemn atmosphere.

2. OJSC “Russian Railways” offered Turkmenistan a project of a regional passenger train express on the route Arkadag - Ashgabat with a speed of up to 140 km/h. This was announced by Sergey Pavlov, First Deputy General Director of Russian Railways, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in the international transport and transit conference. In addition, the Russian side offers Turkmenistan several electrification projects and the development of a regional passenger rail express.

3. Subscription for the second half of 2023 to the paper version of the “Arkadag” newspaper is open in all branches of “Turkmenpost”. The cost of a subscription to a printed edition of the newspaper for a period of 6 months is 7 manats 80 tenge. 4. On May 25, the regular swimming season begins in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone, and at present time, preparatory work for summer holidays at sea is being completed here. The preparation is carried out in a planned manner by the communal department of Avaza hyakimlik. To date, almost all the facilities of the seaside resort are fully prepared to receive guests.

5. On May 15, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan will host the final game of the second season of the Young Heralds of the World contest, which is held among high school students of the country. 6. Scientists from the University of Michigan have developed a new system that permits you to turn almost any surface into a touch screen using sound waves. The technology is made possible by the Voice Pickup Units microphone complex. When touched on the surface of the object on which they are located, they register the generated sound waves. Such a system can function in an environment with high noise pollution and on almost all types of surfaces, including toys, furniture, parts of the human body.

7. Belarusian engineers will help colleagues from Brazil create their own folk tractor. According to Belarusian Ambassador to Brazil Sergei Lukashevich, work is already underway in Brazil to build assembly shops for the production of Belarusian MTZ tractors.

8. The program of the fifth round of the major league of the championship of Turkmenistan on football-2023 will be presented with two matches on May 4 and 5. On Thursday, May 4, “Kopetdag” will play against “Altyn asyr”, and “Shagadam” will meet with “Ahal”. On Friday, May 5, “Ashgabat” will meet with “Arkadag”, and “Nebitchi” with “Energetik”.

10. Turkmen boxer Shukur Ovezov won an early victory in the 1/16 finals of the World Championship in the lightweight category against the representative of China Zhao Yikun. Ovezov's uppercut knocked out his opponent. In the next fight, Ovezov will meet with the representative of Spain, Jose Quiles. At the 2017 European Boxing Championships, José Quiles won a bronze medal, and at the 2022 European Championships, he became a silver medalist.
