At a working meeting on the development of a shopping complex, held on Friday, the President of Turkmenistan expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that some shortcomings were allowed in the organization of work at the enterprises of the Ministry of Textile Industry, the State News Agency reported.
In particular, the head of state said that compared to 2019, last year, the volume of exports of textile products in price terms decreased by 1.1 percent, carpets and rugs - by 71.8 percent, wool - by 29.8 percent, raw leather - by 43.1 percent.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that making huge investments in the textile industry provides for increasing the production efficiency and profitability of enterprises in this sector.
In this regard, the Minister of Textile Industry Resul Rejepov was instructed to prepare proposals in order to increase the volume of products exported for foreign currency, as well as take measures in this direction, expand the geography of sales of goods.
In light of the tasks identified, the President of Turkmenistan gave separate instructions on the implementation of a digital system to ensure electronic commerce, fulfill orders for the sale of textile products.
The leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov demanded to keep under strict control the issues of analyzing the cost estimates of enterprises in the textile industry, through the introduction of effective management methods and innovative technologies to reduce the cost of production by eliminating inappropriate expenses. Carry out the necessary work to ensure the purchase of production equipment at the best prices.
The leader of the nation also said that it is necessary to keep under control the issues of reconstruction of enterprises previously operating in all velayats of the country, construction of new high-tech complexes.
Particular attention should be paid to the compliance of the country's textile products with international quality and environmental safety standards. For more active promotion of domestic products abroad, appropriate advertising and information support is also needed.
Pointing to the importance of quality and expansion of the range of products, further development of the service sector and marketing, the head of Turkmenistan addressed specific instructions to the minister.
