1. A group of pilgrims from Turkmenistan performed the hajj to Saudi Arabia, visiting the sacred places of Islam. Recently, the last members of the group returned safely to their homeland. The pilgrims arrived at Ashgabat International Airport on a special flight and were transported on modern buses to the Hezreti Omar mosque, located in the Parahat-7 residential complex. At the entrance to the mosque they were warmly greeted by their relatives and friends.
2. At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Amanov informed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov about the progress of the project to introduce digital technologies into the gas supply system. As reported, one of the directions is the installation of “smart” gas meters, which will ensure more efficient use of natural gas in households.
3. A meeting of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums in Turkmenistan was held in Ashgabat. The main issue on the agenda was summing up the results of the elections of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, held on July 7 in three electoral districts of the capital. According to the chairman of the election commission of the city of Ashgabat, the elections were held on the basis of democratic principles, in conditions of alternativeness and transparency. Voter turnout was high: 91,32% of the total number of citizens eligible to vote. As a result of voting, out of 9 candidates, 3 deputies were elected who received a majority of votes.
4. Last week, a meeting between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, Rashid Meredov and Murat Nurtleu, took place in Astana. During the negotiations, the parties discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation, including political, trade and economic, transport and transit, energy and cultural and humanitarian spheres. The ministers also agreed on a schedule for upcoming international summits.
5. A new container train will be launched directly from Ulyanovsk to Turkmenistan. It is reported that along the eastern railway corridor “Middle Volga - Caspian - Persian Gulf” Russian goods will be able to quickly reach Turkmenistan and its neighboring regions - Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan.
6. At the Mashad Medical University of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a presentation of the first volume of the book of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan”, translated into Persian, took place. During the presentation, the speakers noted that this scientific encyclopedia aroused great interest among Iranian doctors. Its translation into Persian will be useful to readers in Iran.

7. The Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan, together with the National Volunteer Network, announced the launch of a large-scale project “Marathon of Good Deeds”. 9. Football players of the Turkmenistan national team will meet with the Afghan team in the match for 5th place at the Central Asian Football Association championship among youth teams. The game will be held on Thursday, July 11, in Jalal-Abad. The teams of Iran and Kyrgyzstan will play in the finals of the tournament, and the match for 3rd place will be held between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
10. The Spanish national team won a strong-willed victory over France in the semi-finals of the European Football Championship. The match, held in Munich, ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the Spaniards. Lamin Yamal and Dani Olmo scored goals for the winners. Randal Colo-Mouany scored for the French.
