An exhibition of the country’s trade complex has opened at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, at which more than two hundred enterprises and structures of the country demonstrate the successes of the national economy, its potential and promising areas of development, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
The event clearly demonstrates the high quality of products produced in the country and the wide range of services provided. Enterprises of the shopping complex and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs operating in various sectors of the economy set up their expositions.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by members of the Government, deputies of parliament, representatives of ministries and departments, the diplomatic corps accredited in Turkmenistan, international organizations, public associations and the media.
At the opening, an address from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was read out. The head of state pointed out that thanks to comprehensive measures, trade and economic cooperation with foreign countries is increasing and the competitiveness of national products is increasing. Products bearing the “Made in Turkmenistan” mark are well known in world markets and are distinguished by high quality and reliability. Positive results have been achieved in saturating the domestic market with goods and intensifying export activities.
The main theme of the exhibition this year is economic diversification, import substitution, increasing exports and modernizing production. The process of improving industries is demonstrated by numerous stands within the framework of ongoing government development programs.
