The Turkmen Alabay Ak dost (Akdus), owned by the head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnihanov, became the champion of Russia in the “Central Asian Shepherd Dog” category according to the Russian Canine Federation.
“Subscribers often ask how Akdus is doing. He did well, took the highest award, became the Champion of Russia! Akdus is a champion!” Minnihanov wrote on this occasion in his Telegram channel.
The name Alabay is translated from Tatar as “White Friend”. Ak Dost, while still a puppy, was presented to the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnihanov by the President of the international associations of Ahal-Teke horses and Türkmen alabaý itleri Serdar Berdimuhamedov in 2021.
