The opening of the fourth season of the international Technovation Girls program in Turkmenistan took place yesterday in the capital's “Arkach” business center.
The meeting brought together interested participants, entrepreneurs, and graduates of previous seasons of the program, according to a press release from the Technovation Girls Turkmenistan team.
Representatives of the country project team held an introductory presentation, spoke in detail about the key aspects of Technovation Girls. They also shared the achievements of past years: over the past seasons, 14 teams from Turkmenistan reached the world semi-finals of the global competition.
Further, during the networking, the meeting participants were able to get to know each other and the invited experts, partners of the program, better.
The international Technovation Girls program is being held in Turkmenistan for the 4th year in a row. The project is a global initiative aimed at developing social entrepreneurship and promoting the opportunities of young girls in the STEM fields (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). The largest tech competition for girls, participants form teams of up to five people and work on creating a mobile app aimed at helping solve social problems at the local or international level. At the end of each season, the final teams gather at the Global Summit in California, where they present their prototypes to leaders of leading tech companies such as Google, Meta and Amazon.
The program is supported by the Embassy of the United States of America in Turkmenistan.
