In Astana, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan Batyr Rejepov and the General Director of the Television and Radio Complex of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (TRC President) Raushan Kazhibayeva.
As the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic department reported, during the meeting the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of information space. They noted that in recent years, political, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties have been strengthening between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. This creates the basis for the development of cooperation in the media field.
The parties expressed interest in exchanging media content, co-producing content, distributing media and their products at the national and international levels.
At the end of the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of continuing joint work to determine specific steps and mechanisms of interaction.
TRC President is one of the largest media companies in Kazakhstan. It includes: the national and international version of the Jibek Joly TV channel (“Silk Road” - editor’s note), Jibek Joly Cinema, the International News Agency “Kazinform” and the Documentary Film Center.
