The new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic Azizbek Madmarov has started work, presenting credentials to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov today, the information program “Watan” of the Turkmen television reported.
The Head of State congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a responsible diplomatic post and wished him success in his work in the field of further strengthening the constructive Turkmen-Kyrgyz dialogue.
During the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz diplomat exchanged views on the prospects of bilateral cooperation, taking into account its multifaceted potential. As noted, fruitful cooperation aimed at the benefit of the two friendly peoples is actively gaining momentum in the trade and economic sphere, in the field of transport, transport infrastructure, energy, agriculture, implementation of investment projects, as well as in the fields of science and education, culture, sports and tourism. Regular contacts at the level of the Foreign Ministries of the two states contribute to building up the potential of political and diplomatic cooperation.
In realizing the existing opportunities for building mutually beneficial trade and economic ties on a long-term basis, a significant role is assigned to the joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation, designed to promote productive contacts in various industries, including through business structures. At the same time, the importance of further deepening cooperation in the humanitarian and cultural field was emphasized.
Expressing sincere gratitude for the productive exchange of views on a wide range of issues of mutual interest, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkmenistan Azizbek Madmarov assured President Serdar Berdimuhamedov that, for his part, he would make every effort to further strengthen interstate cooperation that meets the interests of both countries and peoples and the sustainable development of the region in general.
Let’s remind that Azizbek Madmarov was appointed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkmenistan on November 25, 2022 by the decree of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov.
Madmarov worked in various positions in the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, from 2006 to 2010 was the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan. worked as the head of a department in the CSTO Secretariat (Moscow).
Prior to his appointment as Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Azizbek Madmarov served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic since August 2018.
