Within the framework of the first day of the international conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2022”, which started yesterday in Ashgabat, many foreign speakers expressed their interest in further cooperation with Turkmenistan in the fuel and energy industry.
In particular, Hou Qijun, President of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), noted that in June this year, a new gas gathering station was put into operation in the contract area of Bagtyyarlyk, which became a clear example of cooperation in the field of natural gas between the People's Republic of China and Turkmenistan.
According to Hou Qijun, over 340 billion cubic meters of natural gas have been delivered from Turkmenistan to China to date, which has effectively contributed to economic development and the well-being of the peoples of the two countries.
-In the future, we will jointly implement important agreements with our Turkmen partners to increase the scale and volume of cooperation in the field of natural gas to give a new impetus to the development and cooperation of the two countries, - the President of CNPC said, reports the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.
