This morning, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the International Ahal-Teke Equestrian Complex, where he took part in the celebration of the country’s Independence Day. The event included traditional equestrian competitions, which are an integral part of Turkmen culture and a symbol of national identity, TDH writes.

The Ahal-Teke horse breed, known for its grace, endurance and loyalty, occupies a special place in the hearts of the Turkmen people. The state pays great attention to the development of horse breeding and equestrian sports, considering this a matter of national importance. The day before, on September 27, a festive parade was held in the capital of Turkmenistan in honor of the 33rd anniversary of the country’s independence, where Ahal-Teke horses were also presented in all their splendor.
