The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Serdar Muhammetdurdyev and members of the delegation led by Special Envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China for Afghan Affairs Yue Xiaoyong.
The parties exchanged views on the preparations for the 5th meeting of foreign ministers of states neighboring Afghanistan, which will be held in Turkmenistan.
The diplomats discussed priority areas of strategic interstate cooperation and exchanged views on the implementation of previously reached agreements.
As was emphasized, Turkmenistan views multilateral international platforms for maintaining stability in Afghanistan as an important factor in stimulating sustainable recovery and growth of the socio-economic situation in the neighboring country.
The Interlocutors confirmed that Turkmenistan and China will continue to provide all-round support for the economic recovery of Afghanistan, adhering to the principles of friendship and good neighborliness, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
