1. National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the meeting of heads of delegations in the “SCO+” format. Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty highlighted trade, industrial cooperation, agriculture, the “green” agenda, and information technology among the important areas of cooperation. Along with these promising vectors, models of cross-border and regional business partnerships were identified, involving small and medium-sized businesses.

2. On the sidelines of the “SCO+” forum, a meeting was held between the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The parties discussed a wide range of cooperation issues. Particular attention was paid to its key areas, taking into account modern realities, existing potential and plans for the future.

3. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the monument to the great poet and thinker of the East Magtymguly Fragi, erected in Astana, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that currently the Turkmen-Kazakh friendship, rooted in ancient times, is further strengthened. In all eras, being the closest neighbors, the Turkmen and Kazakh peoples are fraternal, respect each other, maintain good neighborly relations, and follow the traditions of mutual understanding.

4. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent deep condolences to the President of the Republic of India, Mrs. Draupadi Murmu and the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Narendra Modi, in connection with the tragic stampede that occurred at a religious event in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, which led to numerous casualties and injuries.

5. The Russian cruise ship “Vladimir Zhirinovsky” will begin sailing the Caspian Sea in February-March 2025. The vessel, being built at the Astrakhan shipyard “Lotos”, is planned to be fully commissioned and put into operation by the end of 2024. It is expected that the new liner will call at the ports of Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Iran and Azerbaijan.

6. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, at a gala reception on the occasion of US Independence Day in Ashgabat, announced the similarity of views of the two countries on many regional and international issues. He noted that over 32 years of diplomatic relations, the countries have developed mutually beneficial cooperation in almost all areas. Meredov emphasized that since the establishment of diplomatic relations on April 10, 1992, the countries have maintained strong cooperation in the political, social, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

7. In the Italian city of Padua, a new world record was set: 70 people whose age exceeds 100 years gathered in one place. The total age of the participants in this unique meeting was more than 7000 years. All participants received memorable gifts in honor of this significant event.

8. The Turkish Parliament has approved changes to civil aviation legislation aimed at tightening passenger screening procedures at the country's airports. The new rules are brought into line with international standards established by the Chicago Convention. Security officers will now have the right to inspect passengers' luggage and electronic devices both at the entrance to the terminal and in the boarding area. Refusal of inspection will result in a ban on entry into the airport or departure area. Prohibited items will be immediately confiscated.

9. Young Turkmen chess players completed their participation in the FIDE World Cup among boys and girls under 8, 10 and 12 years old, held in Batumi, Georgia. Turkmenistan was represented in all six categories. First, the participants played seven games using the Swiss system in two groups, and then met in pairs using the knockout system to determine the best. Aya Bayramova from Lebap became the best among Turkmen chess players, finishing 8th in her group in the under 10 category and 15th overall after defeating her opponent from Singapore.

10. The Argentina national team beat Ecuador in a penalty shootout in the quarterfinals of the Copa America. Regular time of the match ended with the score 1:1. In the semifinals, the Argentines will play with the winner of the match between the national teams of Venezuela and Canada, the meeting between them will be held on the night of July 6.
