The Days of Culture of Turkmenistan started in Japan on June 12.
In connection with the cultural event, a large delegation of artists and representatives of academic circles of Turkmenistan arrived in Tokyo.
As newscentralasia.net reports with reference to the Turkmenistan newspaper, the opening ceremony took place in the Orchard concert hall in Tokyo, where an exhibition of products of Turkmen craftswomen, paintings by artists, literary works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the President of Turkmenistan was also presented.
Among the honored guests of the ceremony were Shimpei Matsushita, head of the secretariat of the Japanese-Turkmen Parliamentary Friendship Group, Komura Masahiro, Deputy Foreign Minister of Japan for Parliamentary Affairs, heads of ministries, presidents of large companies, as well as representatives of diplomatic missions.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan Atadurdy Bayramov, welcoming the audience, emphasized the efforts of the leadership of Turkmenistan in developing Turkmen-Japanese cooperation, including cultural ties.
In his speech, Shimpei Matsushita expressed the special interest of the Japanese side in the further development of cooperation with Turkmenistan in various fields, including the cultural field.
Within the framework of the opening of the Days of Culture, a concert of art masters of Turkmenistan was held, after which a display of Turkmen national costumes was successfully held, the source notes.
