The XXIII International Universal Exhibition “White City of Ashgabat”, dedicated to the City Day, started at the Expo Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The show be on May 24-25.
More than 160 Turkmen and foreign companies, government agencies, private enterprises and business structures present their developments and achievements in the field of construction, architecture, design, urban planning, green technologies and other areas that shape the appearance of modern Ashgabat.
As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted in his Address, the exhibition clearly demonstrates the successes of the Turkmen capital in urban planning, its potential for further development and priority areas of international cooperation.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Mejlis, members of the Government, heads of ministries and line departments, the diplomatic corps, representatives of the public, the media, residents and guests of Ashgabat.
The exhibition illustrates the results of state urban planning policy. Transformations cover construction, architecture, industry, transport, communications, finance, education, healthcare, culture, tourism, and sports.
Along with industrial goods, products, and applied arts, large “green” investment projects to create environmentally friendly urban systems, energy-saving technologies and construction projects for preserving a favorable urban environment are presented. A significant part of the exhibition is occupied by automated utility management systems.
