The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan Shadurdy Meredov and the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan Kongratbay Sharipov discussed holding joint events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
The parties reviewed in detail plans to celebrate this significant date in the current year 2024, emphasizing the importance of broad commemoration of Magtymguly’s anniversary as an outstanding figure of Turkmen culture.
Issues of further expanding cooperation in the field of education and science, as well as strengthening ties between universities of the two countries were also discussed at the meeting.
