The Ambassador of Japan to Turkmenistan visited a school in the city of Turkmenbashy

As part of his visit to the city of Turkmenbashy, Japanese Ambassador to Turkmenistan Sasaki Hiroshi visited secondary school № 13, specializing in teaching foreign languages. Japanese is also taught at school.

The Embassy's press service notes the warm welcome that the school prepared. The students performed dance routines for the guests, and an open Japanese language lesson was also held.

The interior of the school was decorated in Japanese style.

Then the Embassy diplomat conducted a lesson for 10th grade students, where the children became acquainted with the art of origami. Students learned how to make traditional Japanese cranes from paper.

At the end of the lesson, the school was presented with 1000 cranes (“senbazura”), which were made by the Embassy staff with their own hands especially for this day.

Ambassador Sasaki Hiroshi visited the city of Turkmenbashy on the occasion of the Japanese Film Festival held there for the first time. During his visit, he also visited a monument to Japanese prisoners of war who worked on construction sites in the city after World War II.
