1. The year 2025 has been declared the "International Year of Peace and Trust" in Turkmenistan. The corresponding proposal of the Mejlis was approved by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the last meeting of the Government in the outgoing year.
2. At an extended government meeting, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to strictly control the observance of law and order on New Year's Eve. The head of state emphasized the importance of organizing duty in all structures and ensuring the smooth operation of public utilities, hospitals and stores. The President of Turkmenistan noted that these measures are necessary to create conditions for a good rest for citizens and celebrating the New Year at a high level.
3. The President of Turkmenistan has completed work on his new book about Magtymguly Fragi. According to the head of state, the book highlights the literary heritage of the outstanding master, his enormous contribution to world culture and the events held in honor of the 300th anniversary of the poet's birth. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the book also reflects the achievements of Turkmenistan and is a worthy gift for the people.
4. On the eve of the New Year, a solo concert of the talented singer and musician Arsen Shahunts was held at the site of the Winter Sports Complex. The artist performed his hits and favorite songs, creating an atmosphere of celebration and joy. Particular attention was drawn to the song "Öňe, öňe, diňe öňe, jan Watanym Türkmenistan!" written by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
5. Turkmenistan has published a New Year's public transport schedule. On New Year's Eve, city bus services will operate according to the following schedule: from 6 a.m. on December 31, 2024 to 2 a.m. on January 1, 2025. Round-the-clock taxis will also be organized. Bus service will be available in the cities of Ashgabat, Arkadag, Balkanabat, Turkmenbashy, Dashoguz, Turkmenabat and Mary.
6. A grand opening ceremony of a three-story residential building for employees of the Embassy of Turkmenistan was held in the capital of Uzbekistan. The modern building houses 12 fully furnished apartments with improved layouts, modern kitchens and climate control systems. The opening ceremony was attended by a delegation of Turkmenistan led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Gurbanov.
