On November 30, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, the agenda of which included the preparation of strategic documents in the field of construction, finance, energy, and solving current problems in the fields of agriculture, culture, education and transport.
Specific ways to implement state programs and national projects designed to strengthen the economic potential of the country and improve the well-being of the Turkmen people were discussed.
Announcements of upcoming events
From December 5, holiday trade will be organized in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, as well as in the velayats of Turkmenistan.
On December 6-8, Ashgabat will host the Exhibition of Turkish Export Goods and, within its framework, the Turkmen-Turkish Business Forum, as well as the seventh meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation.
At the end of 2023, Turkmenistan will host a Youth Forum and Exhibition. The events will sum up the successes achieved by Turkmen youth at international sports competitions, school and student Olympiads. The achievements of young people in the economic sphere will be considered.
Construction
The Government of Turkmenistan is preparing a Master Plan for the development of Ashgabat until 2045. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed its development to be guided by new achievements of science and technology, and best international practices in urban planning.
Finance
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution aimed at ensuring the successful implementation of the State Budget for 2024, the rational use of the expenses provided for therein and increasing revenues.
Fuel and Energy Complex
At the gas compressor stations of the “Turkmengas” state concern, work is underway to overhaul equipment to ensure an uninterrupted and reliable supply of natural gas to consumers.
Agriculture
Farmers of Dashoguz and Lebap velayats of Turkmenistan fulfilled their contractual obligations to harvest rice. At present time, feed is transported to livestock farms to ensure a warm and well-fed winter for livestock.
Culture
An international scientific collection Asyrlaryň yzlary (“Traces of the Ages”) will be published in Turkmenistan, which will reflect scientific information collected in recent years during research of the country’s historical and cultural monuments. The collection will be published in Turkmen, Russian and English at the expense of state reserves of the National Administration for the Protection, Study and Restoration of Historical and Cultural Monuments. Along with Turkmen specialists, the editorial board of the publication includes scientists from France, Italy, Great Britain and Russia.
Education
A national accreditation system for educational institutions will be created in Turkmenistan. For this purpose, the draft “Regulations on state accreditation of educational activities” is being prepared. The goal of the innovations is to include universities in Turkmenistan in world rankings.
Transport
The Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan is preparing a draft State program for ensuring aviation security of civil aviation of Turkmenistan and will create an Interdepartmental Commission on aviation security of the country's civil aviation. This work is being carried out to improve the level of flight safety in accordance with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
