In Tashkent, within the framework of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan, on October 29, was held a creative meeting of Turkmen and Uzbek writers and poets, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker and poet of the East
Magtymguly Fragi. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
The meeting was held in the building of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, and was attended by poets, writers, cultural and scientific figures of the two countries, representatives of the media, as well as the Turkmen diaspora in Uzbekistan.
On the eve of the event, the Turkmen delegation visited the “Writers' Park” in Tashkent, where they were told about the history of the park.
Next, the participants visited the museum of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, where posters, archival photographs, publications and collections from different times are presented, introducing the life and work of writers, poets, and literary scholars of Uzbekistan.
The Turkmen delegation was told about the achievements, creativity and heritage of Uzbek writers. In particular, publications of classical and modern Turkmen literature in the Uzbek language were presented.
