Turkmenistan
1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to New York, visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where he took part in an official reception on behalf of the President of the United States on the occasion of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly. At the end of the reception and the program of the working visit to New York, the President of Turkmenistan proceeded to Kennedy International Airport, from where he departed for his homeland. Having completed a multi-hour flight to Ashgabat, the presidential airliner landed at the International Airport of the Turkmen capital, where the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov was met by officials who congratulated him on his successful visit to New York and widespread support for his historic speech from the rostrum of the UN General Assembly.
2. The XXIV Conference of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World was held in Ashgabat at the “Mekan” palace under the chairmanship of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The forum was traditionally dedicated to the Independence Day of Turkmenistan. Representatives of Turkmen diasporas from a number of states, ethnic Turkmens from abroad working in Turkmenistan, as well as delegates from all regions of the country took part in its work. Created in May 1991, today the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World (HATW) has turned into an authoritative international organization that performs important work to unite compatriots who, by the will of fate, found themselves far from their historical homeland, but who have not lost the love of their fathers’ land and connection with their spiritual roots.
3. Within the framework of the exhibition of economic achievements of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the country's independence, the Ashgabat Fashion House and leading designers presented new collections of fashionable clothing. The collections of young Turkmen designers are distinguished by a combination of traditional national motifs with modern trends. On the podium of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, floor-length evening dresses, formal men's suits, as well as clothes for children were demonstrated.
4. A video meeting was held at the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan on the participation of the Turkmen delegation in the International Tourism Exhibition Tourism Expo Japan 2023, which is planned to be held in the Japanese city of Osaka from October 26 to 29. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan, as well as heads of private travel companies.
5. The Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva will celebrate International Music Day. On this occasion, Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital are invited to a classical music concert, which will be on September 29 at 18:30 in the Great Hall of the Conservatory.
6. Employees of the newspaper “Turkmenistan” took prizes in the International competition “Caspian without borders”. Thus, Aygul Rahimova’s work “Commonwealth. Friendship. Cordiality” was awarded first place in the “Fresh Look” category. Photographs about the development of cooperation between the Caspian countries by Ilaman Churiyev took second place in the “PhotoCaspian” nomination. The solemn ceremony of awarding the prize-winners and winners of the International Competition “Caspian Without Borders” was held at the VIII Caspian Media Forum in Astrakhan.

7. AirPods wireless headphones are capable of working even when exposed to the aggressive environment of the stomach - American Moe Kennedy was convinced of this when she accidentally swallowed one of these headphones in her sleep. In the emergency room at Covington Medical Center, the girl reported that she realized she had swallowed an earpiece after waking up in the middle of the night. Kennedy's mother was able to connect to headphones, which, even being in the stomach, still perfectly conveyed the sounds made by the body and the girl's laughter.
8. Danish conceptual artist Jens Haaning tried to give the museum blank canvases, passing them off as paintings called “Take the Money and Run”. The Kunsten Museum of Contemporary Art in Aalborg gave Haaning about half a million Danish kroner to create new conceptual paintings. Instead, the artist presented museum representatives with two untouched canvases, called “paintings.” The museum staff, however, did not appreciate the creativity and filed a lawsuit against the artist demanding a refund.

9. The group stage of the AFC Cup in the Central Zone starts today. “Altyn Asyr” and “Merv” will take part in the second most important club tournament in Asia. In group “E” the rivals of Turkmen football players will be the clubs “Ravshan” from Tajikistan and “Abdysh-Ata” from Kyrgyzstan. The group round will end on December 14. Only the group winner will advance to the next stage of the tournament. Matches with the participation of Turkmen teams will be broadcast live by the Tajik sports channel “Football”.
10. Swimmer Merdan Atayev and judoka Maysa Pardayeva will be the standard bearers of the Turkmenistan team at the opening ceremony of the XIX Summer Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, which will be on September 23. This was announced at a working meeting held at the headquarters of the Turkmen delegation.
