The leadership of the German Football Association (DFB) has relieved Hans-Dieter Flick of his position as head coach of the German national team. A day earlier, the German team was defeated by the Japanese team in a home friendly match, which ended with a score of 1:4.
Hans-Dieter Flick has been in charge of the German national team since May 2021. Under his leadership, the team failed to advance from the group at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Previously, Flick worked for Bayern Munich, with which he won the German championship twice, and also won the national cup and super cup, the Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup once each.
Let us note that the German national team will take part in the 2024 European Championship as the host country.
