Ashgabat schoolchildren won the bronze medals in the VII Caucasian Mathematical Olympiad

Bayram Abdullayev, Orazmyrat Sahetmyradov and Emir Wellekov, three students of Ashgabat specialized boarding – comprehensive school named after Saparmyrat Turkmenbashi, won the Bronze in the VII Caucasian Mathematical Olympiad. Gulovser Gylychmyradova, another participant of the Turkmen team, was honored with the appreciation award. The children were prepared for the competition by the mathematics teacher Arslan Hojyyev. “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper reports it.

Turkmen schoolchildren for the first time participated in this Olympiad, conduction center of which become the Adygea State University, located in the city of Maykop of the Republic of Adygea of the Russian Federation.

The Olympiad was conducted in hybrid format with the participation of schoolchildren from 20 regions of Russia, also, online-participation of children from 8 neighboring countries and beyond: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Bulgaria, Serbia and Mongolia.

The competition aim is to render assistance in forming of a unified cultural and educational space, to consolidate friendly ties between schoolchildren from different countries who are fascinated by mathematics.

The Olympiad motto is “The Caucasus without borders!”. Well-known Russian scientists and teachers, coaches of the Russian national team in mathematics, gold and silver medalists of the International Mathematical Olympiad of the past years are among the jury members.
