State Concern "Turkmenhimiya" will receive financing for the construction of a production of combined mineral fertilizers

The State Concern "Turkmenhimiya" will conclude an internal loan agreement with the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of the country for the construction of a workshop for the production of combined mineral fertilizers on the basis of the Niyazov Turkmenabat Chemical Plant. The corresponding order was signed today by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the "Watan" newscast of the Turkmen television reported.

As reported at a meeting of the Government, the production of combined mineral fertilizers, which in various proportions include nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, is the most economically profitable, including from the point of view of supplies abroad.

It was noted that the annual capacity of the new workshop will be 170 thousand tons of the so-called “vitamins of fertility”.

The amount of the loan for the construction of the new workshop has not been disclosed.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the chemical industry plays a significant role in the life of the country. According to him, the creation of new modern enterprises operating on the basis of advanced technologies will contribute to the radical modernization of the profile infrastructure, the full satisfaction of the demand of domestic consumers for high-quality chemical products, including the most popular types of mineral fertilizers, and will also provide an opportunity for further increasing export potential of the country.

To identify the contractor, Berdimuhamedov ordered to announce an international tender.

We remind that, a loan agreement on financing the construction of a workshop for the production of combined fertilizers at the Niyazov Turkmenabat Chemical Plant and a number of documents on investment and attracting loans were signed following the visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the United Arab Emirates.
