In the building of the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts named after Mahtumkuli of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, a meeting was held between the cultural attaché and the head of the Cultural Center at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ashgabat Navid Rasuli with the director of the Institute Davut Orazsahedov. This was reported by “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

During the meeting, the sides discussed potential opportunities for cooperation between Turkmenistan and Iran in the spheres of cultural cooperation.

“The fact that at the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts named after Mahtumkuli of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan contains thousands of Arabic, Persian and Turkic manuscripts, which testifies to the historical and cultural ties between Iran and Turkmenistan,” Navid Rasuli said.

The Attaché proposed to sign an agreement between the Institute and the National Library of Iran or the Center for Organizing Libraries, Museums and Documents for further joint work on manuscripts.

The study and publication of these valuable documents will serve to exchange knowledge between the two countries and help expand cultural cooperation, he stressed.

Davut Orazsahedov, in turn, announced the Institute's readiness to cooperate with the Iranian Cultural Center in Ashgabat in order to organize scientific and cultural conferences.
