New Armenian Ambassador to Turkmenistan takes up his duties

On October 7, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the new Ambassador of Armenia Ruben Kharazyan, who presented his credentials to the head of state, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported today.

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in the trade, economic, humanitarian and cultural fields.

The head of state and the plenipotentiary representative of the friendly state stressed that Turkmenistan and Armenia have a solid potential for building up and diversifying productive ties in a wide range of areas.

The President of Turkmenistan and the plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia expressed confidence that fruitful interstate relations that meet the interests of the two countries and their fraternal peoples will continue to develop steadily, filling with new content.

Let us remind you that Ruben Kharazyan was appointed Armenian Ambassador to our country at the end of July.

Earlier, a diplomat with 30 years of experience headed the Armenian diplomatic mission in the United States.

Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Armenia were established in 1992. Since July 1994, the Embassy of the RA has been operating in Turkmenistan. More than 70 agreements have been signed between Armenia and Turkmenistan to date.
