President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, being on a working trip to Balkan velayat, with his associates made a sea voyage on the new passenger ship “Rahat”, which arrived at the disposal of the agency “Türkmendeňizderýaýollary” (“Turkmen Sea and River Routes”), the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan” reported today.
Built in the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, this high-speed passenger ship is designed for tourists and travelers who love boat trips.
It should be noted that as part of the work to expand international trade and economic ties and diversify trade routes, Turkmenistan, like other Caspian countries, pays great attention to building the potential of the national shipping flotilla.
So, in recent years, by order of the Turkmen side, modern tankers and other vessels of the merchant fleet have been built and put into operation, the high performance characteristics and innovative and technical parameters of which put them among the most demanded vessels in the maritime transport market.
Much work is being done on the technical re-equipment and regular replenishment of the passenger fleet, which was confirmed by the arrival of the new ship “Rahat” at the home port.
The ship departed from the coast, plotting a course along the waves of the Caspian Sea.
During the sea voyage, the head of state discussed with his associates the importance of maintaining a high level of ecology, issues of preserving the biodiversity of the Caspian Sea, scientific study of local flora and fauna.
The Caspian Sea is the world's largest inland body of water of oceanic origin. Among the seas - this is a real relic, the heritage of all mankind, which has preserved to this day the bewitching beauty of natural corners, a generous world of flora and fauna.
During the boat trip, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also focused on the issues of introducing modern forms of active recreation on the Caspian coast, improving the quality and variety of services provided to guests.
As it was emphasized, in the work carried out in this most important direction, it is necessary to be guided by care for a person, his happy life and comfortable rest.
