From November 16 to 18, an online seminar held for Turkmen public sector specialists from Paris, organized by the International Bureau of exhibitions (BIE) together with the Ministry of foreign Affairs and the chamber of Commerce and industry of Turkmenistan, with the participation of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in France. This reported on the website of the state news Agency of Turkmenistan.
Specialists of ministries and government agencies, businesses, as well as two students attended the seminar from Ashgabat universities Institute of international relations International University of humanitarian sciences and development.
The BIE experts familiarized the Turkmen specialists with the organization's activities and shared their experience in exhibition and fair activities. The issues of communication and technical aspects of participation in exhibitions held under the auspices of the BIE considered. They also discussed programs to increase the potential of interaction with Turkmenistan at the international level.
Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Secretary General of the BIE Dimitri Kerkentzes noted the high level of Turkmenistan in organizing exhibitions at international venues.
The international Bureau of exhibitions, an intergovernmental organization with its headquarters in Paris, established in 1928 and has 169 member States. The IBA coordinates all international exhibitions that last more than three weeks and are non-commercial in nature, as well as determines the choice of countries for future exhibitions and provides candidate States and host countries with its experience.
Turkmenistan became a member of the organization in 2012, and a Memorandum of cooperation with the BIE signed in 2015.
