The results of the work of military and law enforcement agencies for eight months of 2020 were the main topics of the visiting meeting of the State Security Council, which was held today by the President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the State news Agency of the country reports.
Early in the morning, the Turkmen leader arrived at the venue of the security Council meeting. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Secretary of the state security Council Charymyrat Amanov reported on the readiness to hold the meeting.
The first speaker was defense Minister Begench Gundogdiev, who reported on the results of the work carried out since the beginning of 2020 in the military formations of the National army, the implementation of instructions to strengthen the country's defense capability, improve the professionalism of military personnel, and create appropriate conditions for their service and life. There was a report on preparations for the military parade on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan, as well as for the upcoming conscription campaign.
After hearing the report, General of the army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the main vector of reforms implemented in the military sphere is to improve the activities of the Ministry of defense. At the same time, special attention is paid to the modernization of the material and technical base of all branches of the armed forces, strengthening the personnel potential.
Among the priorities of the upcoming work, the President identified Patriotic and educational activities. It was also instructed to ensure a high level of organization of the military parade in honor of the next anniversary of the country's independence.
Later, the Minister of internal Affairs Mammethan Chakiyev reported on the results of work during the period under review, the steps taken to prevent offenses, and ensure fire safety in all parts of the country.
A separate topic of the report of the interior Minister was the month "road Safety-peace of our life", which will include events aimed at optimizing the traffic flow in Ashgabat and velayats, improving the culture of pedestrians and drivers.

During the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree on improving the passport system in Turkmenistan and gave specific instructions for its implementation.
Then the head of the State border service Shadurdy Durdyev reported on the results of the activities of the structure headed by Him for January-August 2020.
The Supreme commander-in-chief of the armed forces stressed that the soldiers and officers of the border guard are responsible for protecting the borders of our state, which should always remain the borders of friendship with all neighboring countries. Focusing on the upcoming work, the Turkmen leader named the modernization of border posts among its most important areas.
Next the floor was given to Chairman of the Supreme court Gylychmyrat Hallyeva, report on implemented for a specified period steps to reform the national judicial system, as well as on the implementation of the instructions of the President.

Prosecutor General Batyr Atdayev reported on the work carried out in eight months of this year to monitor compliance with the current legislation in the country.
After hearing the report, the Supreme commander of the armed forces of the country stressed that the Prosecutor's office should take appropriate measures to ensure the rule of law, protect the rights and freedoms of citizens, the interests of society and the state, and addressed specific instructions.
Minister of national security Gurbanmyrat Annayev, who then spoke, reported on the activities of the reporting Department during the period under review and the concrete steps taken by the Ministry of internal Affairs to maintain a climate of peace and calm in the country.
Noting the role of the Ministry of internal Affairs in ensuring a favorable socio-political climate in the country, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pointed to the need to observe impeccable discipline in the ranks of the Department's employees. After hearing the report, the Supreme commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the country noted that one of the main requirements is the monitoring of existing legal acts in the country and further improvement of laws.
Then Chairman of the State customs service Maksat Hudaykuliyev reported on the steps taken since the beginning of the year to improve the efficiency of this structure. There was also a report on the complete disinfection of imported goods carried out at the country's customs offices, taking into account the current epidemiological situation in the world.
"Today, Turkmenistan's geostrategic role on the Eurasian continent is increasing as an important intersection of transit and transport corridors," the President noted.
Further emphasizing that due to the increase in the volume of work, a responsible approach to the execution of the powers assigned to the Service is necessary.
Special importance should be attached to the observance of the procedure for the movement of goods and vehicles across the customs border of the country, the head of state stressed, ordering to keep under constant control the conduct of relevant procedures in accordance with the requirements of international standards.
Then the floor was given to the Chairman of the State migration service, Mergen Gurdov, who reported on the set of measures taken in January-August in order to implement the migration policy most effectively.
As the head of state noted, by carrying out professional activities, employees of this Department should contribute to the growth of the country's authority.
In the activities of the Migration service, as in all other structures, great importance should be attached to the introduction of innovations and the use of positive foreign experience, the head of state noted.
Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Secretary of the state security Council Charymyrat Amanov reported on the implementation of the large-scale military reform initiated by the President of Turkmenistan.
There was also a report on the steps taken by the military and law enforcement agencies since the beginning of the year to strengthen the strength and defense capability of the National army, improve the combat and professional training of law enforcement personnel, and observe service discipline.
Summing up the report, Berdimuhamedov noted that the sovereign state will always be committed to the neutral status delegated by the Community of Nations, which is a key factor in maintaining peace and stability in the Central Asian region.
One of the priorities is to ensure a high level of professional training for both career officers and conscripts. Education of young soldiers in the best traditions of patriotism is also an important requirement, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted, instructing Amanov to keep under strict control the performance of functions assigned to them by law enforcement agencies.
The meeting also considered other issues on which appropriate decisions were made.

Upon arrival at the training ground, having familiarized with the equipment and conditions created for training, during which military personnel improve their professional training and mastery of modern weapons and equipment, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed to pay attention to the combat training of soldiers and officers and keep these issues under control.
Then the heads of the military and law enforcement agencies, as well as the Deputy Prime Minister and the Secretary of the State Security Council, took turns shooting at targets, demonstrating their firearms skills.
At the end of the shooting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected the hit targets. The head of state ordered to attach special importance to improving the skills of various types of small arms of soldiers and officers of law enforcement agencies.
