New products were produced at the cement plants of the Ministry of industry and construction of Turkmenistan. This was announced at a Government meeting by Shamuhammet Durdylyev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the construction sector.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, in order to solve the problems of increasing the production of basic types of building materials and expanding the range of products, the Ministry of industry and construction production, together with The Institute of chemistry of the Academy of Sciences, has taken steps to use active mineral additives in the production of cement.
Thus, Portland cement of the 400-G20-K brand is already being produced. In addition, work is continuing to establish the production of 500-G20-K cement. The active mineral additive required for this purpose is basalt porphyries. They are extracted from rocks at the “Ufra” deposit, which is on the balance sheet of the Balkan ore management. Due to their physical and chemical properties, these minerals greatly improve the quality of cement. The production of the above-mentioned types of products will increase the output of high-quality cement by up to 20 percent, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
