In Turkmenistan, from January 2020, will increase salaries, pensions and benefits

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov today signed a decree on raising the wages, pensions, government benefits and scholarships in the country from January 1, 2019, the press service of the Head of State reports. 

1. 10 percent increase of the rates of monthly wage of employees of budget-funded institutions, self-supporting enterprises and public associations, as well as pensions and government benefits, scholarships of students starting from January 1, 2020;

2. Starting from January 1, 2020 to establish:

the lower pension limits to the participants in the Great Patriotic War in the amount of 1,415.00 manats per month;

the lower pension limits to the spouses of the participants in the Great Patriotic War and home front workers in the amount of 415.00 manats per month;

the basic amount to valuate the lower pension limits in the amount of 338.00 manats;

the basic amount to calculate government allowance in the amount of 322.00 manats.

3. To establish the minimum wage in the amount of 870.00 manats for Turkmenistan and use it to regulate monthly wages.

4.Starting from January 1, 2020, to approve the size of monthly salaries of the heads of state authorities, local executive authorities and local self-government, military and law enforcement agencies and judicial authorities, newspaper and magazine editorial boards, public associations, as well as their main structural units in accordance with Annexes 1- 7 of this Decree.

5. To ensure the increase in wage rate through the improvement of the structure of institutions, enterprises and organizations, increasing the efficiency of production capacity and labor productivity, utilizing unused internal reserves.
