Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with John Reese, President of Nicklaus Companies, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.
The head of the American company praised Turkmenistan's achievements in socioeconomic development and noted the importance of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's working visit to the United States. Reese also congratulated the National Leader on the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, which was recently widely celebrated internationally.
The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty emphasized that Turkmenistan views the development of sports and tourism as strategic areas for sustainable development. The country continues to develop a modern sports and tourism infrastructure that takes into account international quality standards, environmental requirements, and innovative solutions.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov recalled the positive experience of cooperation with Nicklaus Companies, noting the modern, international-class golf club built in Ashgabat, which is popular among residents and visitors to the capital.
The parties acknowledged the significant opportunities for mutually beneficial partnership in the development of sports infrastructure. The American businessman confirmed his willingness to continue cooperation in the construction of golf courses in Turkmenistan.
