President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping sent letters to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. In his messages, Xi Jinping expressed heartfelt gratitude for congratulations on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. 2. Today, the International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2024” starts in Ashgabat. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the participants of the forum, emphasizing its importance for the development of the country's fuel and energy complex. “Independent Turkmenistan, which has colossal hydrocarbon reserves, seeks to use natural resources not only in national interests, but also in the interests of other peoples of the region and the world, and in this regard, consolidation of efforts is the main factor in achieving the intended goals”, - the presidential message says.
3. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Turkmenistan Ruben Kharazyan is completing his diplomatic mission in the country. In this regard, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the ambassador. The parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects for the development of Turkmen-Armenian cooperation in priority areas of political, diplomatic, trade, economic and cultural-humanitarian nature. 4. The selection round of the Digital Solution 2024 innovation projects competition has started in Ashgabat. The event is aimed at supporting talented young people developing software, scientific discoveries and inventions. The competition is held in seven areas: artificial intelligence, robotics and automation, smart agricultural technologies, “Smart City”, education and e-learning, digital medicine and services.
5. On October 24, the final day of the BRICS summit, a ceremonial opening of a monument to the outstanding Kazakh poet and philosopher Abai Kunanbayev will take place in Kazan. The monument, which is currently hidden under a protective film, is located on Nazarbayev Street and its artistic design echoes the recently opened monument in the capital of Turkmenistan.
6. During her visit to Turkmenistan, the head of the Austrian-Turkmen Society, Neda Berger, visited the office of the online publication Turkmenportal in Ashgabat. The initiator of the appeal was a British composer who previously worked in the field of AI technologies. According to him, tech companies invest heavily in development and specialists, but seek to avoid the cost of acquiring content rights to train their systems.
8. In Italy, a 68 years old man lost his memory of a significant part of his life as a result of a car accident. The victim, whose name is Luciano, woke up in the hospital in 2019 and was sure that he was in 1980, and that he was 24 years old. The consequences of the injury were astonishing: the man could not recognize his wife and his adult 35 years old son. Moreover, when he saw his own reflection in the mirror, Luciano experienced a severe shock. He retained memories of the accident itself, but he was convinced that it happened four months before his upcoming wedding to his 19 years old bride.

9. The Turkmenistan national traditional karate team is taking part in the World Championship in the Spanish city of Cambrils.
