1. The city of Arkadag received three awards at the International Smart City Expo 2024, which is taking place in the city of Goyang, Republic of Korea. During the award ceremony, the head of the Turkmen delegation, Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan Derya Orazov, made a speech of thanks.
2. On the occasion of the state round of the creative competition among gifted children “Pearls of Independence”, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory message to the young participants of this competition. “Let your inspired songs and melodies in honor of the grandiose accomplishments and achievements of the Renaissance of the new era of a powerful state, peace, friendship, humanism and happiness never cease!” - the Address says.
3. Hero of Turkmenistan and Russia, cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko, who set a world record for the longest time spent in orbit, is completing his fifth space expedition and is preparing to return to Earth on September 23. This event marks the end of a mission that lasted 375 days, making it the longest in the International Space Station program. Kononenko, a native of Turkmenabat and the most experienced of the current Russian cosmonauts, on February 4 this year became the first person in history to spend a total of 1000 days in low Earth orbit.
4. Newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Turkmenistan Elizabeth Rood held her first press briefing at the new U.S. Embassy complex in Ashgabat. During the meeting with journalists, she outlined the main priorities of her activities as the head of the American diplomatic mission. Ambassador Rood highlighted key areas of work, including the fight against climate change and the development of the economic sector.
5. The Embassy of India in Turkmenistan jointly with the Magtymguly Turkmen State University held a tree planting campaign. The saplings were planted on the territory of TSU in Ashgabat.

6. The legendary rock band Linkin Park has announced its triumphant return to the music scene, introducing a new lineup and sharing plans for the future. During a live broadcast on the band's official YouTube channel, Mike Shinoda, one of the founders and key members of the band, introduced fans to the new members of the team. The meeting was held in the UAE within the framework of the preparatory training camp of the Turkmen team. The game was held in the Sharjah Sports Complex.
