1. The velayat round of the traditional competition of young singers Ýaňlan, Diýarym! was held in Mary on the square in front of the building of the "Turkmen White Yurt". Among other distinguished Turkmen participants was Vagif Samedov from the “CentralAsia.news” online publication, who won second place in the Caspian Sea – Territory of Health nomination for his article on the development of football in Turkmenistan. Matgurban Matkurbanov from the “Biznes reclama” newspaper was awarded a special jury prize for his work on Turkmenistan’s tourism opportunities.
4. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmed Gurbanov and US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Elizabeth Rood held talks. The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Turkmen-American relations, noting the mutual focus of the parties on deepening ties in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
5. On September 12, a major auction for the sale of state-owned properties will be held in Ashgabat. The Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan will put up for auction a number of significant properties, including administrative buildings of business associations, retail premises, and state-owned shares. Among the most attractive lots in the capital are two administrative buildings of the “Nur Zaman” and “Damjaly baglar” business associations, located on G. Kuliyev street in Ashgabat. The starting price for each of them is 45 968 148 manats. Also, up for sale are the retail premises of the “Turkmenbashy” Joint-Stock Commercial Bank and the “Garadamak” auto repair shop of the “Turkmenawtoulaglary” Agency.

7. An incident occurred at New Chitose Airport in the Japanese prefecture of Hokkaido that resulted in mass flight cancellations and delays. The cause of the large-scale disruptions was the disappearance of a pair of ordinary scissors from a shop located in the departure area. Due to concerns that the loss of the dangerous item could be related to the preparation of a terrorist act, the airport management decided to suspend all security checks on domestic flights. This led to 36 flights being cancelled and another 201 being delayed. The scissors were found the following day in the same shop where they were initially considered missing.

8. The first quarterfinal matches of the Turkmenistan Football Cup were held. The teams “Arkadag”, “Altyn Asyr” and Ashgabat won and approached the semifinals of the tournament.
