Turkmenistan highly appreciates relations with the fraternal Republic of Uzbekistan. This was stated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a telephone conversation with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev today, the Watan news program of the Turkmen television reported.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the key areas of mutually beneficial interstate cooperation, built on an equal, trusting basis.
“Turkmenistan highly appreciates relations with the fraternal Republic of Uzbekistan and attaches great importance to the progressive expansion of cooperation with a close neighbor and reliable partner, with whom we have much in common and have much in common,” Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.
In this context, it was noted that effective political and diplomatic relations are maintained between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The similarity or identity of the approaches of the two countries on key issues of world and regional politics serve as a solid basis for coordinating efforts in the international arena.
At present, a regular and constructive dialogue has been established between the ministries and departments of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Good-neighborly relations between the border regions have noticeably intensified.
Turkmen-Uzbek trade and economic relations are dynamically developing, cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian field is successfully expanding.
Expressing his deep conviction that the traditionally fraternal relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan will continue to consistently develop and deepen in the spirit of mutually beneficial strategic partnership for the common good, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, taking the opportunity, thanked the Uzbek leader for his great personal contribution and deep attention paid to strengthening the bilateral dialogue.
During the conversation, the head of the highest representative body of the people's power of Turkmenistan also congratulated President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his birthday, noting that under his leadership the Republic of Uzbekistan was able to achieve significant success in socio-economic development and consistently improve the living standards of the people.
We remind that today President Shavkat Mirziyoyev turned 66 years old.
