Issues of mutual interest, including expanding bilateral cooperation, were discussed at a meeting in Washington between the delegation of Turkmenistan and the President of the US Export-Import Bank (EXIM) Reta Jo Lewis, as well as the Deputy Special Envoy for Climate of the US State Department Richard Duke.
The delegation of Turkmenistan was headed by the Chairman of the Board of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs Rahimberdi Jepbarov, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
The discussions focused on initiatives to combat climate change, reduce methane emissions, and implement affordable economic, energy and infrastructure projects.
The parties noted the importance of joint efforts to promote sustainable development and explored ways to attract financial and technological resources to achieve these goals, the source notes.
