A new attraction will appear in the Black Canyon of the Almaty region of Kazakhstan – a suspended glass bridge, Kazpravda.kz reports.
This year, about 400 thousand tourists visited the Kolsai and Kaiyndy lakes. Many of them, enchanted by the beauty of the local nature, also looked into the picturesque Kortogay gorge. Given such high interest, it was decided to turn this place into a full-fledged tourist zone. To begin with, 600 million tenge were allocated from the state budget for the electrification of the territory. In addition, private investors showed interest in the project, ready to invest their funds in the development of infrastructure.
The bridge, 170 meters long and 80 meters high, will be one of the longest and highest glass bridges in the region. Its construction will cost 2 billion tenge. In addition to the bridge itself, a tent city, cottages and restaurants in the national style are planned to be built on the territory of the complex. There will also be tracks for ATVs and horseback riding.
