The Chinese company Deep Blue Aerospace has announced the start of ticket sales for suborbital tourist flights, which are planned to begin in 2027. The first travelers will be able to go to the edge of space after the successful completion of a series of tests planned for 2025-2026, Ferra.ru reports.

The first two tickets went on sale on October 24, priced at 1,5 million yuan (about 210 thousand USD) each. Potential space tourists must make a deposit of 50 thousand yuan to reserve a seat.

The company is developing a reusable spacecraft designed to carry six passengers at a time. The craft will be able to reach an altitude of 100-150 kilometers, where tourists will have the opportunity to experience weightlessness for about 10 minutes.

Technically, the Deep Blue Aerospace project resembles the American New Shepard from Blue Origin. The Chinese company is creating a single-stage system with a passenger capsule capable of withstanding up to 50 re-launches. For maximum comfort for tourists, the capsule will be equipped with six panoramic windows. Before launching commercial flights, several dozen test launches are planned to ensure passenger safety.

It is noteworthy that CAS Space has also joined the race for China's space tourism market, and has also announced the start of tourist flights in 2027.
